Peace Action

In Peace Action, your activities and strong feelings toward peace are shared.

[Peace Action#07] Think Peace

We, a group called Think Peace, have been working for a year and a half with the goal of
creating a peace education program that people around the world can participate in.
First, we researched, shared, and compared forms and peace programs in countries around
the world.
Next, on a field trip, we visited Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum and Chiran Peace Museum
for Kamikaze Pilots, and compared them with Hiroshima Atomic Bomb Museum.
In the idea-thon that followed, they decided that the issue for world peace was “From
indifference to concern.
We also had three exchanges with Nagasaki Higashi High School and two with Georgia,
Russia’s neighbor, and were able to gain new connections.
Based on these experiences, we defined our idea of peace as “a state in which everyone is
aware of the happiness that we all take for granted in our daily lives. To solve the problem,
we created a quiz-making program called Peace Thinker (P-Thin). The most distinctive
feature of P-Thin is that participants create their own questions and discuss them in groups.
Through these activities, the program aims to promote the exchange of ideas and mutual
understanding. You can do it in person or online. Why don’t you join us?

[Peace Action#06] CITY

Our team name is “CITY”. We were divided into three groups: 1) Education and Childcare, 2) Medical and Welfare, and 3) New Industry, and worked on the “Hiroshima Future Map of New Industry”. Through literature research and field trips, each group first identified the following issues.

1.The quality of educational and childcare services has declined due to the heavy burden of teachers and childcare workers.

2. Training of local medical doctors and caregivers is inadequate. In addition, it is difficult to solve manpower shortage only by introducing robots.

3. Start-ups are not taking root.

Through idea-thons and other conceptual meetings, a “human smart city” was envisioned as a solution to this issue, in which not only the city but also its people become smarter. The following concrete measures were proposed to realize this concept.

1. Introduction of VR/AR into university classes. Division of labor between knowledge education and emotional education in elementary through high schools.

2. Introduction of medical and welfare robot certification courses in curriculum. Creation of a vocational version of wikipedia.

3. Introduce idea proposals using super-immersive VR/AR into the educational curriculum. Management of one company per high school.

[Peace Action#05] Agdibo

We are the team “Agudipo” for thinking about the future of Hiroshima Prefecture 30 years later  in terms of agriculture and depopulation. Based on numerical data and field trips, we proposed “Agudipo-village,” a village where people would want to live, with “humanity” as the keyword.

The following contents were proposed.

1. A housing complex with functions such as a hospital, nursing home, and daycare center, where people can interact with each other.

2, A bus that can pick up and drop off anywhere in some areas of the village, and providing areas for interaction with the people of the village.

3、ICT bulletin board that allows people to know about the latest information, for example how much electricity is generated and how it works in the village.

4、Introduction of AI in agriculture to secure human resources, farm tools that can be used jointly in the village, and implementation of unique agricultural projects such as energy loans to companies.

5, Forestry study utilizing nature, taking advantage of the characteristics of depopulated areas.

Finally, the charm of Agudipo-village

It has a system in which people feel the warmth of humans, and a sustainable system based on agriculture x AI. This makes people feel attached to the village, and they can manage the village as if it were their own, and it is not easily influenced by social conditions.

[Peace Action#04] Kochifuku

Our team name is Kochifuku. We thought about tourism in Hiroshima 30 years from now.

First, we researched festivals, souvenirs, hotels, cafes, museums, historical spots, and Great spots in Hiroshima.  Second, we went on a field trip to Fukuoka, where the number of tourists in 2021 is almost the same as Hiroshima, for comparison.  Third, we identified tourism issues in Hiroshima through surveys, field trips, and literature.

issue:There are tourist resources.  But not well known and hard to get to.

We thought that the solution to this problem was to “reform the transportation infrastructure”.  To this end, we think that the Civil Aeronautics Law should be reformed and revised to make Hiroshima the easiest prefecture in Japan to deploy drones.

At the meeting to report results, we proposed a travel plan for the future Hiroshima.  Our idea of future travel is a system that can meet the needs of travelers in a small-group format.  This will give tourists a sense of being special and help publicize the attractions.   We hope that Hiroshima Prefecture will become the best tourist destination in Japan.
